These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the DriveCrest website and any enquiry, booking or purchase made through it. By using our website or booking driving lessons through DriveCrest, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. About Us
DriveCrest is operated by:
Wiz Driving School Ltd, trading as DriveCrest Company Number: 15508938 Registered office: 34 Elbow Street, Manchester, M19 3PY, United Kingdom Correspondence address: 5 Erica Drive, Manchester, M19 1NP, United Kingdom Email: hello@drivecrest.co.uk
In these Terms, "DriveCrest", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Wiz Driving School Ltd trading as DriveCrest, and "you" and "your" refer to the person using our website or making an enquiry or booking.
2. Our Service
DriveCrest provides a booking and referral service that helps learner drivers arrange driving lessons by connecting them with suitable driving instructors.
We collect learner enquiries, arrange bookings where applicable and introduce learners to driving instructors. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the instructors to whom learners are introduced operate as independent, self-employed businesses and are responsible for providing driving instruction directly to learners.
DriveCrest arranges driving lessons in England and Wales only. We do not currently operate in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
3. Independent Driving Instructors
Our instructors may include:
- Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) registered with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA); and
- Potential Driving Instructors (PDIs) completing their instructor training under a trainee licence.
Where we allocate a trainee instructor (PDI) to you, we will tell you before your first lesson.
Each instructor is responsible for:
- providing driving lessons;
- maintaining their own vehicle, insurance and legal compliance;
- managing their own availability;
- delivering tuition in accordance with DVSA requirements;
- setting their own teaching methods and standards; and
- dealing with matters arising from the lessons they personally provide.
DriveCrest does not guarantee that a particular instructor will remain available for the duration of your learning. Where appropriate, we will assist in arranging a suitable alternative instructor.
4. Bookings
When you make an enquiry or booking through DriveCrest, you confirm that:
- the information you provide is accurate and complete;
- you hold a valid provisional driving licence before taking lessons; and
- you will disclose directly to your instructor any information relevant to your ability to undertake driving lessons safely. DriveCrest does not collect medical or health information.
You must be at least 17 years old to take driving lessons, unless you are legally permitted to drive at a younger age (for example, if you receive the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment, in which case you may learn to drive from 16). Bookings for learners under 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the learner's behalf.
We will make reasonable efforts to arrange lessons with a suitable instructor based on your requirements, location, availability and preferences. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of a specific instructor, particular lesson times or driving test dates.
A binding booking is formed when we confirm your booking and the applicable payment or reservation has been received.
5. Prices and Payments
The prices for our services are those displayed on our website at the time of booking. Prices may differ between manual and automatic tuition and between pay-as-you-go, block booking and intensive course options, as shown at the point of booking.
All prices shown are for tuition only. DVSA theory and practical test fees are not included in lesson prices and are paid by you directly to the DVSA. Since 12 May 2026 only the learner can book, change or cancel a car practical driving test, so we cannot book or amend a test for you. Your instructor can provide their instructor reference number and confirm their availability so you can make the booking yourself. The price displayed at the time of booking is the total amount payable for the tuition booked, and no further charges are added at checkout.
Payment arrangements may vary depending on the instructor and the booking arrangement. Payments may be made:
- through DriveCrest, using the payment options displayed at the time of booking (which may include payment in full or a reservation payment towards your booking); or
- directly to the independent driving instructor, where indicated at the time of booking, for example the balance of a pay-as-you-go lesson payable after the lesson has taken place.
Where payment is made directly to an instructor, the payment relationship for that amount is between you and that instructor.
Where payments are processed by DriveCrest, they are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
You are responsible for ensuring that payments are made in accordance with the payment option selected at the time of booking.
Block bookings and intensive courses. Where you pay a reservation amount towards a block booking or intensive course, the remaining balance becomes payable once we allocate an instructor to you. We will notify you when this happens. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of your instructor being assigned. This is the only balance deadline that applies.
The name and contact details of your allocated instructor will be released to you once the balance has been received.
If the balance is not received by the due date, your booking will be paused and your instructor will be released to other learners on the following day. Your booking will be reactivated as soon as the balance is paid, but we cannot guarantee that the same instructor or the same availability will still be offered.
If a paused booking is not reactivated within 30 days, we will cancel it and write to you to confirm. Section 9 explains what happens to any amounts you have paid.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, prepaid block booking hours must be used within 12 months of purchase, after which any unused hours will expire. We will send you a reminder at least one month before your hours are due to expire, and you may ask us to extend the period where there is a good reason for the delay.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Driving lessons require advance planning, and our instructors commit time and resources to each booking.
Unless a different period is stated at the time of booking, you must give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Where less than 48 hours' notice is given, or where you fail to attend a lesson, the lesson will be charged in full.
Certain products, such as intensive courses, may be subject to longer notice periods, which will be stated at the time of booking.
If an instructor cancels a lesson, we or the instructor will offer to reschedule it. Where a prepaid lesson cannot be rescheduled within a reasonable time, you will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid for that lesson.
Events beyond our control. If a lesson cannot take place because of events beyond either party's reasonable control, such as severe weather, vehicle breakdown, instructor illness or action by the DVSA, the lesson will be rescheduled at no additional cost. Where a prepaid lesson affected in this way cannot be rescheduled within a reasonable time, you will be entitled to a refund or credit for that lesson. Neither party is liable for any failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
7. Driving Tests
DriveCrest and our instructors can assist you in preparing for your driving test. However:
- we cannot guarantee that you will pass your driving test;
- test dates and availability are controlled by the DVSA; and
- the decision to enter for a test rests with you and your instructor.
You should only book a driving test when you and your instructor agree that you are ready. You must book and manage the test yourself through GOV.UK. A car test booking can normally be changed a maximum of 2 times, moves are limited to your original test centre and your 3 nearest eligible centres, and 10 full working days notice is normally required to change or cancel without paying again. After a failed car test the next test date must be at least 10 working days away.
8. Changing Your Instructor
You may request a change of instructor at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee that an alternative instructor will be immediately available.
Where you have paid us in advance for lessons you have not yet taken, those hours will transfer to your new instructor and no further payment is due for them. Where you have paid an instructor directly for lessons not yet taken, any refund is a matter between you and that instructor, although we will help you make contact.
9. Refunds and Your Legal Right to Cancel
Your 14-day cooling-off right. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, where you make a booking online or otherwise at a distance, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the date your booking is confirmed, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@drivecrest.co.uk. We will refund payments received using your original payment method within 14 days of your cancellation.
Lessons taken within the cooling-off period. If you ask for lessons to begin within the 14-day period, you may do so. If you then cancel, you must pay for the lessons already delivered, and any refund will be reduced accordingly.
Reservation amounts. Your reservation amount is credited in full against the price of your lessons or course. If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period described above and no lessons have been delivered, it is refunded in full. This applies even if your booking has already been paused or your instructor released.
After the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, the reservation amount is non-refundable. It covers the cost of processing your booking, matching you with a suitable instructor and holding that instructor's availability for you. This is made clear to you before you pay.
Lessons already delivered are not refundable.
Cancelled paused bookings. Where we cancel a paused booking under Section 5, we will refund any amount you have paid over and above the reservation amount, using your original payment method, within 14 days.
If we do not assign you an instructor. If we have not assigned an instructor to you within 14 working days of your booking being confirmed, you are entitled to a full refund of everything you have paid us for that booking, including the reservation amount. This applies regardless of the 14-day cooling-off period and regardless of the general rule that the reservation amount is non-refundable after that period. Contact us at hello@drivecrest.co.uk and we will refund you using your original payment method within 14 days.
Payments made directly to an instructor. Where payment was made directly to an instructor, refund requests should be directed to that instructor.
Nothing in this Section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any other applicable consumer protection law.
10. Learner Responsibilities
As a learner, you must:
- attend lessons on time;
- bring your provisional driving licence where required;
- follow the reasonable instructions of your instructor;
- behave respectfully towards instructors and staff; and
- ensure that you are legally entitled to drive.
An instructor may refuse to provide a lesson where a learner is considered unsafe to drive, including where:
- the learner appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- the learner is not fit to drive at the time of the lesson; or
- the learner does not hold the required driving licence.
Where a lesson is refused on these grounds, the lesson may be charged in full. This does not apply where a lesson cannot proceed because of sudden illness or another genuine emergency affecting the learner, in which case the lesson will be rescheduled where reasonably possible.
11. Our Liability
We will provide our booking and referral services with reasonable care and skill. In particular, we are responsible for:
- processing your booking accurately;
- handling payments made through our website securely;
- introducing you to an instructor who holds a valid ADI registration or trainee licence; and
- providing reasonable assistance if something goes wrong with our booking service.
Where an instructor operates as an independent business, DriveCrest is not, to the maximum extent permitted by law, responsible for:
- the acts or omissions of independent instructors;
- the outcome of driving lessons or driving tests;
- delays or disruption caused by instructor availability, vehicle issues, adverse weather or the DVSA; or
- loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by learners.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Use of Our Website
You agree not to:
- misuse our website or interfere with its operation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material; or
- use, copy or scrape our website content without permission.
We may update, suspend or withdraw website features without notice.

All content on this website, including text, branding, logos, graphics and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Wiz Driving School Ltd. You must not copy, reproduce or distribute any website content without our prior written permission.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you acknowledge that your personal information may be shared with instructors where necessary to arrange and provide driving lessons, as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Complaints
If you have a complaint about our booking service, please contact us at hello@drivecrest.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to provide a full response within 14 days.
Complaints relating to lessons provided by an independent instructor may need to be addressed directly with that instructor, although we will assist where we reasonably can.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can get free, independent advice from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or at citizensadvice.org.uk.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website. The Terms in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
17. General
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
No waiver. A failure or delay by us in exercising any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Third-party rights. These Terms do not give rise to any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 for any person who is not a party to them.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the details confirmed at the time of your booking, constitute the entire agreement between you and DriveCrest in relation to our services.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
